Located in North Yorkshire, this 1930s semi-detached house is home to Jess Duxbury, known on Instagram as @thehoppyhome, where she shares her beautifully curated interiors and thoughtful approach to design, with the occasional rabbit hopping about here and there.

Over the past 8 years, Jess and her family have gradually transformed their home, but it was the redesign of her ensuite that became a true labour of love. She wanted a space that felt calm, elegant and deeply personal, choosing Parisian Manoir Tumbled Marble Tiles for their timeless beauty and soft, earthy tones. The texture of the natural stone tiles perfectly complements her love of organic materials and vintage character. Taking her time to style the bathroom, Jess layered in thoughtful details to create a sanctuary that feels both complete and lived in.

I’d say my style is quite classic and I tend to opt for a blend of modern country with a nod to both rustic and refined influences. I love combining old and new, mixing vintage market finds with contemporary elements so the home feels warm, characterful and personal. For me, it’s important that a newly built extension doesn’t feel too new. I wanted it to feel as though it had always been here.

Why did you choose Parisian Manoir Tumbled Marble in your en-suite?
I’ve always been drawn to earthy tones and natural textures, so marble tiles felt like the perfect fit. The Parisian Manoir Tumbled Marble has such timeless and elegant charm with its soft tumbled edges, subtle variation and white and grey hues with contrasting grey accents giving the en-suite a refined yet relaxed feel.

To balance the marble in the shower area, I paired it with Pottery Chalk Metro Tiles. Their rich texture and tonal variation bring a sense of warmth and contrast, keeping the space from feeling too formal.

Why Quorn Stone?
I’ve admired Quorn Stone for a long time. The quality, the beautiful natural finishes, and the range of timeless designs are exactly what I look for. I first discovered Quorn Stone on Instagram, and once I started browsing the collections, I knew I’d find the right fit for our home.
Where do you like to shop for interior pieces?
Too many places to name, but I’m always drawn to antique shops for their one-of-a-kind finds. Homesense, Zara Home, and Interiors Yard are firm favourites, and there are so many gorgeous online shops. The list really does go on.

What’s next for The Hoppy Home?
Right now, I’m enjoying a little breather. The project started with a newborn and a two-year-old, so it’s been a whirlwind. But knowing me, it won’t be long before I’m planning the next update.
What three words would you use to summarise your style?
Timeless, Rustic, Cosy
