Step Inside Jennie's Provence Grigio Project

In a small, picturesque village outside the old market town of Northampton, Jennie lives with her husband and children, in their beautiful ironstone home. With countryside walks on their doorstep and much more outdoor space than ever before, it is the perfect place to be!

The location was a really important factor to Jennie, when scouring Right Move for their new home! Whilst this quirky ironstone property needed some work to bring it back to its former glory, it was an exciting prospect that allowed them to afford their future dream home in their favourite location!

And so, the work began….

“It was on the hottest day of the year that the old stone walls provided a welcome relief to the 40-degree heat of the removals van. We began drawing up plans as soon as we exchanged contracts and were lucky to secure permission not long after”.

“Ten months from moving in, phase one began in the Spring of 2020. We have now almost completed phase one, with the kitchen and some of the other rooms on the ground floor now fully restored and renovated. We are now looking at what phase two of the renovation will encompass!”.

Jennie kindly shared some photos of her project before the phase one works began and the transformation is simply beautiful “our new kitchen is through the white door; it was previously our utility and garage. The kitchen opening is still the same without the door” – we can’t believe how different the space looks, it is so amazing what you can to do to make a property your own!

Throughout the initial phase of the renovation, Jennie had a clear vision on how she wanted the space to look “we wanted to retain a traditional element throughout the property whilst adding a practical and modern country twist to the kitchen”.

After hours of online browsing, Jennie booked in to visit us at our Quorn Showroom.

“Your Leicestershire showroom was not too far away, so we made a visit and met Will. It was his knowledge and understanding of the products, that reassured me we had made the right choice of product and from the right supplier. The support Will gave us even after the purchase and delivery was brilliant”.

Jennie opted for our maintenance free Provence Grigio porcelain tiles in both an indoor and outdoor 900 x 600 format – a beautiful yet practical choice!

“A practical home was very important to us so that we could cope with the demands of family life - this also meant there were no worries about muddy boots from little people!”

“The Provence Grigio porcelain tiles were the closest tiles we could find that matched real limestone, the tumbled edge of each tiles provides an additional realistic effect”.

As luck would have it, on the day of the shoot the weather was in our favour and we could open up the bi-folds to showcase the seamless transition of the tiles from the kitchen to the patio.

Thank you Jennie for sharing your renovation story and letting us visit your beautiful home - good luck with phase two of your project!
