How to Create a Beautiful Easter Tablescape

With Easter upon us, it is the perfect occasion to dress your dining table for Spring. Whether it’s having family round for a Sunday roast or a sit-down afternoon tea with friends, we love planning something a little extra special for the season! A few simple elements to a tablescape can really create a feeling of Spring – we enjoyed dressing this table setting and hope you feel inspired for your own Easter dining table display.

1. Potted bulbs

Potted bulbs are a wonderful way to create a natural and rustic feel to a tablescape, incorporating greenery and planting in a smaller form. Here we chose narcissus bulbs that bring a pop of colour, seen in a lovely, aged stone pot. Similar can be found at Hudson Home.

2. Fresh tulips

Spring is the exciting beginning of fresh, seasonally grown flowers and tulips are the perfect addition. Tulips offer a whole host of pretty pastel shades, from white single petals to blousy pink doubles. Local florists or supermarkets often have speciality tulips available at this time of year - buy a bunch and display them in either one large vase or in smaller bud vases.

3. Natural fabrics

When it comes to laying a table, we believe keeping with neutral and natural materials really goes a long way. For table linen, pale burlap table runners, natural linen napkins and wicker placemats create a lovely rustic and natural table setting. Neptune Home’s ‘Emily’ table runner is a great choice. Similar napkins can be found at OKA and the placemats are by The White Company.

4. Artisan tableware

Throughout the years, trends of crockery have come and gone and for us, we believe classic is always best. Artisan tableware is all about pieces with a style of authentic craftsmanship. Plates are very often not identical or perfectly circular which really softens a table setting. We’ve layered these dinner plates with smaller side plates to add to the relaxed and authentic style. Mismatched neutral crockery is also a beautiful addition to a tablescape.

5. A touch of Easter egg fun

It wouldn’t be Easter without a little Easter egg fun! We found these Gisela Graham speckled natural eggs which are also perfect for those who love a bit of seasonal craft making. And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a few chocolate egg treats!

Have a lovely Easter x
