Autumn Interior Essentials
Dark evenings and a drop in the temperature, orange leaves and scents of pine, it must be Autumn! A season full of stunning warm colours and cosy days at home, makes autumn one of my favourite seasons to shop for.
There are 5 essential fall pieces that I have in my home every year, so I thought I would share a bit of interior inspiration and some special gems with you!
1. Autumnal Wreaths
The perfect way to greet your guests is with an autumnal wreath! We have seen so many stunning wreaths this year, however our favourites are from The Big Door Wreath Company. All wreaths are hand crafted using faux flowers and greenery, with the occasional pumpkin to suit the season. Eye-catching from afar and jaw-droppingly beautiful! I can’t wait to put mine up!
Creating a cosy and homely atmosphere is easy with a flicker of Neptune’s new range of scented candles. The English Fig offers sweet velvety scents, combining green and fruity notes, all poured into a brown glass jar, lending a vintage appearance. But not only are the aromas of these candles heavenly, they are made up of natural soy wax – giving them a long-lasting burn time of up to 60 hours, no need to worry about burning through!
Along with the nights closing in much earlier, I have certainly noticed the drop in temperature over the last few weeks! Snuggling up with a throw in the evenings, in front of the fire has got to be one of the best parts of these shorter days! The perfect throw can be somewhat of a debate in our household! However, I must say my favourite is this beautifully soft Lisa Valentine Homes’, Beehive Oatmeal Throw, with its golden tones and soft wool texture it’s as much practical as it is a lovely interior accessory!
4. A Rustic Vase Full of Faux Foliage
Ever since I was small, my family have always had a vase full of autumnal foliage on the dining table. Keen to carry on this tradition, I was pleased to see that Hudson Home have a gorgeous variety of different faux stem pieces, from eucalyptus, to maple leaves, dried hydrangeas and blueberry spray – making it so easy to create an Autumnal display! To complete the look they also have some chunky rustic vases for your striking display.
5. French Limestone
As much as our French limestone looks beautiful all year round, its beauty shines through in the colder months thanks to its natural warm tones and textured surface. The intricate textures and unique finishes of our French limestone have been created by the hands of French craftsman, providing a luxurious floor that lends itself perfectly to warm cosy rooms. The Bordeaux Aged Chateau, has always been a favourite, offering detailed natural markings and variation of rich mushroom tones. The Aged Chateau finish provides a hand-crafted pillow edge and sophisticated bush-hammered surface, perfect for classic properties.
