Giving back this Christmas…

The Instagram community can be a lovely place and is a great way to share advice and inspire others. Whilst scrolling through we saw the idea of care packages for the homeless at Christmas. The concept is simple, find a zip-lock food bag and fill it with essentials and treats that will help someone facing homelessness over the festive period. As a team we decided we wanted to play our small part in this idea and give something back this Christmas…

The sky is the limit with these, but we researched online to find out what would be useful to include. Should you wish to make some care packages of your own, we have listed the items in our care packages below:

  • Hand Warmers
  • Socks
  • Plasters
  • Lip Balm
  • Comb
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Antibacterial Hand Wipes
  • Sanitary Items
  • Plasters
  • Raisins
  • Cereal Bar
  • Haribo Pack
  • Chocolates
  • Smarties
  • Flapjack Bar

We handed these to The Bridge in Loughborough, whereby they will hand out the packages to those in need over the coming weeks. We hope this inspires you to create some care packages of your own… no matter how big or small, each one helps to make a difference. All the items included in our packages were easily bought online or in local supermarkets.
